Arthroscopy & Sports Injuries
Minimally invasive keyhole surgery by Dr. Divyanshu Goyal at SNG Hospital, Indore.
Frozen shoulder, also known as adhesive capsulitis, is a condition where the shoulder capsule thickens and tightens, causing progressive stiffness and pain. It typically develops gradually and can severely limit shoulder movement if not addressed early with the right treatment.
Increasing shoulder stiffness, dull or aching pain that worsens at night, difficulty reaching behind the back or overhead, and a noticeable reduction in the shoulder’s range of motion are typical symptoms.
Most cases of frozen shoulder are managed with a combination of physiotherapy, stretching exercises, and anti-inflammatory injections to reduce pain and gradually restore movement. When stiffness persists despite conservative treatment, arthroscopic capsular release is performed to gently release the tightened tissue through small incisions, allowing the shoulder to move freely again. This is followed by guided rehabilitation to maintain and improve the newly regained range of motion.
Dr. Divyanshu Goyal takes a stepwise approach to frozen shoulder, starting with conservative care and moving to arthroscopic treatment only when needed, ensuring each patient receives the least invasive effective option.
If shoulder stiffness is limiting your movement and daily comfort, book a consultation with Dr. Divyanshu Goyal to begin the right treatment for lasting relief.
